On this episode of The Social Work Bubble Podcast, we are joined by Iriel Nunnery, MSW who will be speaking on navigating grad school and post-MSW life, prepping for licensure, and working in nontraditional social work settings!

Iriel Nunnery is a Master of Social Work with a specialization in Children & Youth Services graduate from Louisiana State University. She is originally from New Orleans, Louisiana and graduated from Nicholls State University with a Bachelor of Liberal Arts degree in Sociology, with a concentration in Social Work, and a minor in African American Studies and Humanities. Currently, Iriel works as an Academic Coordinator with the LSU Trio Upward Bound Program. Upward Bound is a federal TRIO program funded by the US Department of Education. The purpose of Upward Bound is to increase the academic performance and motivation of eligible enrollees so they can successfully complete high school and pursue a college education. It also aims to give low-income and potential first-generation college students the tools they need to succeed in their post-high school studies. She also a member of the Baton Rouge Chapter of the Association for Black Social Workers (A.B.S.W.) and is a Community Action Network Service Organization (C.A.N.) member for black women.
